Bread orders and what’s fresh in today at the Co-op

zoe | April 20, 2010 3:20 pm

We are having lovely weather in this week preceding the ANZAC Day long weekend. Let’s enjoy it while it lasts. Also a friendly reminder that since ANZAC Day is on Sunday, we will be closed in respect.
Some members order a weekly bread order, which is a service available to all members. We have found that sometimes people forget to pick up their bread, especially during school holidays.

As of this week, all un-collected bread orders will be returned to circulation at the close of business on Thursday so that from Friday morning anyone will be able to purchase the bread. If you know that you have a regular bread order and also that you will be away please let us know in advance. Thank you.

Fresh in today – first new season kiwis and hello, Autumn!

zoe | April 13, 2010 1:24 pm

I hope you are well and enjoying our glorious Autumn weather. Though I have to admit the mornings are getting chilly. it’s hard to beat days like today.

We have the first of the new season Kiwifruit in today and it shouldn’t be too long until bulk avocados will be back on the shelves. I’ve heard there has been trouble with the current crop. I also hope the wait for the new crop of Rosnay Olive Oil won’t be too much longer but, as we know, Mother Nature will take her course. I spoke with our local supplier of fresh walnuts and he will be making a delivery in the next couple of weeks. I had an early taste of his windfalls and they were simply lovely.

Sultanas will also be back in stock this week. Sorry for the delay but we had to wait for the Australian crop to be harvested to get a fresh supply.
