We have increased the number of member work hours from 6 hours a year to 12 hours a year. Most other co-ops require at least 1 hour per week to receive the extra discount! See below for details.

  • Alfalfa House requires 2 hours work per week to receive an extra discount.
  • Blue Mountains Food Co-op gives an extra discount on up to $200 worth of shopping to members who do 4 hours of work. So that means, if you spend on average $50 a week, that's 1 hour work per week.
  • Manly Co-op requires 8 hours work per year just to receive the basic discount and to remain a member.
  • Melbourne Uni Food Co-op requires 2 hours work per work to receive an extra discount.
  • Hot Banana, the Griffith University Co-op requires roughly 1 hour per week.
  • Happy Bellies, the University of Wollongong Co-op requires 1 hour per fortnight.
