Work hours

From Food Co-op Shop Wiki

Every member of the food co-op receives a 10% discount, but all active members are eligible for an extra 10% discount. Members are asked to contribute twelve hours of volunteer work each year for the co-op in order to maintain their 20% discount. Many do more.

Some members choose to do one work hour every month and others choose to do more than one hour at a time. Please sign up on the roster in the shop or send an email to anu@foodco-op.com to make sure you get the shift that suits and to let us know that you are coming in. Alternatively, you can pay for your work hours to get the discount.

Volunteer tasks vary and we encourage members to get involved with work they find interesting or match their specific skills.
